I've had this colt since he was a weanling in 2004. He got pretty sick on the ride over to CA from Texas and we had a battle for his health. He's happy and healthy now, but I just don't like how he eats a lot, but doesn't show it that well. Right now he's on a mix (oat/barely/alfalfa) for one meal and then straight alfalfa for the other. Well riding was not a main priority over the summer, working on our house and property was. Now most the work is done. I met a few ladies thankfully in my nieghborhood who have horses. I was worried there for a moment that I would have to live a life of riding alone.
