shivers
My father-in-law said a friend of his had a horse that had "equine shivers". I have never heard of this and was wondering if it goes by another name and does anyone know what this disease is?

Re:shivers
Shivers is a nervous condition which makes horses restless and causes them to shake their legs in a shivering manner. It is a disease that affects the nervous system. Haven't heard of any cures. The only treatments I found was herb's and supplements. They say it will only get worse with time. I will do some more research on it when I have more time. If I find anything I will post for you. I know it is not much help but from what I have read on it the disease is not clearly understood. Keep us posted on how he is doing and good luck.
