A Couple of Pictures - Wet Ziggy

A couple of days ago me and Jess went riding, she took Rosie i took Ziggy. He did soooo good! It was the first time i rode him over the bridge, first time out with another riden horse, first time over the other side of Kakanui, first time on the beach. It was a pretty hot muggy kind of day so they both got sweaty fast, we had a short canter down Campbell's Bay because of the heat but we decided to swim them through the river on the way home, instead of taking the bridge. Ziggy went straight in after Rosie and swam across the river. Never been swimming with a rider. It was so cool i was so proud of him! My tack suffered a bit, but its had a good clean and i'm going to do it again soon.

Relaxing at the gate when we got back, me stretching him playing with the bit. You can see the water level at my waist.

I think he feels it that you love him so much and therefore relies on you (going in the water with you and that).

Btw: I find it better to wait for them to dry a bit before getting wet jeans off. It's practically a wrestling match if they're stuck on your body.

That sounds like a real fun ride and WOOHOO :woohoo: Ziggy for doing so well. You must be very proud of your ol' boy. I am very proud of you and how well you have worked with him. He seems to have just put his trust in you and really taken to the whole riding idea.

I love the pictures and isn't it fun to play with horses in the water?? I love taking them in the water.

Yes it was so awesome!! I was so proud of him. He did so awesome. Its the longest/hardest ride he's been on and he did so good. And yes is was so much fun in the water, it feels so strage them moving around under you, when they don't have their feet on the ground. And yess luvallbreeds, he seems to like being riden, he gets out and gets to do things. He has started doing a little jumping over rotten logs on the beach. He has just a cute little wee bounce. He's so sweet.
