My Horse has a slight limp

[b] I have a question. My horse started limping a few days ago the farm owner just called me. He has no sign of injury and it is not swollen. He is 21 years old what should I do. I dont have extra money for vet visit.

I would check for a stone bruise on the sole of his foot. You can speed healing on that by soaking in epsom salt. If not better in a day or two, at the most, I would bite the bullet and call the vet. Permanent damage could be more costly than the vet call/treatment. Not to mention your horse could become unuseable.

If you can not afford a vet visit possibly you can afford a farrier/horseshoer visit to determine the cause of his lamness. If it is due to a hoof problem, like letsride mentioned, they can prescribe a home remedy that you can apply yourself.
