    That Special Horse

Hey I know I made a forum for horse stories so I thought I would make one for that specail horse or horses that touched your heart! So I hope I will see you on this forum talking about a horse that made you feel like you were running free with the wild mustangs!

Yeah, i used to have a pony named misty. She was the best ever. We got her from the local riding for disabled, RDA. We had her for the holidays once. They came and took her back, and the next day she came back. She had cancer and couldn't where a saddle. So i rode her bareback. She started to get really sick, lossing weight and stuff. The people that had given her to the RDA came and took her away. They were going to get her put down and bury her under her old favourite tree. It never happened. They gave her to one of their friend's to be a paddock mate. I don't know how she is or in what condition. I still miss her though. The picture is me her, and my cat. And us going for ride, i put two different pictures togaeter.

    Re:That Special Horse

I have lots of stories about Jasper, horsemagnet. Sometimes I feel I rave on to much about him.
Jasper came into our family with a "I am top horse and there is no argumanets about it...OK!" sort of attitude.
He pushed, ran over, kicked and bit my children whenever they came near him. But he loved attention from myself and my husband. In desperatation I asked advice on a forum on what to do about his behaviour towards the kids.
I was told to growl him and "send him away" whenever he played up. He hated it! He would sulk with his back to me for 5 minutes or so. I got the children to do the same when ever I wasn't around if he bit or tried to kick them...in the end it worked.
He has shown us many skills from that first day we got him. He has shown us how to jump onto a deck to raid the cat food, how to sneak over to the neighbours (to raid their cats food), how to escape out of paddocks, how to invite himself into peoples homes, how to raid apple trees, how to open rubbish bins, run away with pens, paper, books, bags, brushes, saddle blankets and how to escape down stream (he literally swam down the stream)to get to the long grass on the other side.
