What is this whole 'connected' thing? I don't get that. Is it like an instant messenger built into the site, or what? Mic sent something that asked if I wanted to connect with him. Odd. I clicked the green check mark and then update, and then went my merry way back into the forums and have no clue how to get back to the connected page...*confuddled*
Well, the connection concept is similar to what's in the social networks, like myspace, friendster, linkedin, etc-
it means you're connected together- a "bond" at a higher degree than just 2 members :-)
Once you're connected to a member, you can exchange emails, decide to disclose more info to him on your profile, etc.
When viewing your profile, you can see who you're connected with.
When the community grows, you'll also be able to see how you're connected with other members- something like: I'm connected to you through mic2, so mic2 can help introduce you to me etc.

Another simple way to look at it.. is, if we're connected, then we're more of friends than if we're not :laugh:
'Nother question. What about mods? I was mod at the other site, and I'm not sure how that works here. I don't want to be presumptuous about it, just wondering.
