she inhaled something when she was running around she tryed to couph it out but most went into her lungs we think she had a mouthfull of grass or something.(never run with your mouthful )anyway it infected her lungs and she just went down hill in a matter of hours..we are all in such shock.she was a rescue but she came from a show farm were the owners of 30 arabion horses left them to die because the husband passed away and the wife didnt want anyone to have them so she tryed to starve them in a remote area in tenneessee.some died in transet she was the one of the lucky ones who made it..mic she was beautiful all bay no markings..what made it worse is my compter crashed and i lost evry pic going back 7 yrs.now i cant even look at her photo..im so heartbroken.she was so sweet kind i cannot say enough about her.when you see you horse wrap your arms around he and sink you nose into her neck and breath in.then thank heavens above for her.cherish the time you have with your friend because all to soon and for no good reason they can leave you..hers was a freek thing..i am morning her..i thought a good subject for you to do is asking the people how they(in what ways)do they cope with a loss of a friend...what do you think???

I am so very, very sorry for your loss whinny.
Whinny that is really sad. I feel for you. I lost one of my girls 3 years ago with a broken leg and we have just had her anniversary and I still miss her. Like you I didn't have any pictures of her but my friend found 1 so I look at that now. My boy Bear and Emme were like an old married couple in the paddock and he missed her too. This is such a shock, loosing a friend without a worning :-(
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost a horse about three years ago, It also was an unexpected freak thing. I know your heart is broken and I send you my heartfelt sympathy. I'm so sorry you don't have pictures of her. When my horse died I put pictures of her everywhere. It helped. She was one of two horses I had at the time. The other is a retired, older horse and I've been prepared to to lose her for years (I still have her - age 35 now!) But to lose the younger horse was a shock. I got another horse a few months later and I love her dearly, but I don't think you ever get over that kind of loss. It fades somewhat over time, though, as you begin to bon d with a new horse. The pain lessens, and the good memories stay. I hope you have some friends who have pictures of your horse they can give you.

thank you all for caring it means so much whan you can share and people share with you.yeterday i was at the vets and a lady came with a very old yorki she had to put to sleep.she had no one with her.my heart broke for her and so i hugger her and her little doogie.and told i truly knew how she felt.she then disapeared into the vet room.and soome her little doggie had passed over,she came crying .i was crying my friend was crying and every person was in there crying..we ALL HUGGED HER AND SHE SAID TO ME,I DONT KNOW WHO YOU ARE BUT IM GLAD THAT YOU ARE. AND I WILL NEVER FORGET THE COMPASSION THAT LIT UP THIS OFFICE FOR A STRANGER LADY AND HER DIEING DOG. THANK YOU GOD BLESS AND SHE LEFT. I WILL PASS THIS ON TO ALL OF YOU WHO WERE KIND ENOUGH TO FEEL FOR US THANK YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS....ANN

Oh My god! Im so sorry! I know how u feel! We lost a mare one we truly loved about a year ago and it broke our heart dearly! What the hard part was she left behind a 3 month old colt and everyday he would go out in the field and whinny for his mamma and she wouldn't come and it broke my heart. if u need any1 to tlk to us here on horse ring will be there 4 u!
