So Proud.... - 2010/01/16 06:53 Ziggy has taken the big step up and done the "kid thing" lol. Before this week he hadn't had a kid on him at all, and i threw him in the deep end. After a couple of rides Bradley was going all by himself. Ziggy coped really well, till he decided to go home, hmmm, Brad turned him round and carryed on. They both did so good.

AND...... Here's me and Kate. Oh she is doing so well, she is getting stronger and stronger and having so much fun. It is great to ride her lots now, even just a little at a time. She still has her limp, and gets tired pretty quick. Her canter is a little uneven, but she does so well, its great. Can't believe what she was like only a year ago. Sorry about the number of pictures, but i got to post them all lol.

You can also see by the background, we are still waiting for the weather to get better to cut hay.

So Proud.... - 2010/01/16 22:00 Congratulations to Ziggy!!! I'm so happy he's proven himself so capable of taking care of a younger rider. Don't blame you for being proud of him. It's awesome about Kate doing so much better! Hope in not too much longer she'll be 100% sound when you are riding her.

Re:So Proud.... - 2010/01/17 03:33 Yeah they are both doing so well, love my babies. Kate will never be 100% sound, this is a picture of her near sholder...

sadly that concave is a permant injury, that muscle is dead along with the nerves supplying it, so she can't fully heal. She can get stronger, but not better. She will always limp slightly. But she copes amazingly and still amazes me of how much she can do, more than she should be able to anyway lol.

Re:So Proud.... - 2010/01/18 06:22 Dash those are just ........GREAT pictures. I wish I could see green grass (winter here with snow and ice). Bradley looks so happy and glad ziggy did so well. For some reason horses just seem to love kids. Dash you look fantastic on ziggs....(gosh so thin and cute..lol) very very good pictures. thanks for sharing those. I love looking at them.

Re:So Proud.... - 2010/01/18 06:55 Thanks, its good to get some up to date pictures of them in action. Oh the grass is wrecking havoc on my fat tummy tums lol. Its usually died up and gone brown by this time of year. It will make nice hay though when its cut. Yeah its so not fair, they alway behave so well for kids lol, they know.

Good boy Ziggy he is proving to a great guy for all and Bradley looks great onboard.
Even better news is that Kate is once again a saddle horse if she can do so well in just one year imagine after one more. Her body will compensate and she will get stronger and your right she will always have a hitch in her get along but she should be able to get along just fine, for a nice hack along the beach
